Read the motion as recorded

“Vice-Mayor Wisler moved to approve the amendment to the Industrial District/Conditional Zone (IND-CZ) with the requested condition for the reduced landscaping and find that the request is reasonable, is in the public interest, and is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan in that: (1) the site has historically been an industrial use; (2) the State of North Carolina has prohibited Buncombe County from planting trees on the site and along Hominy Creek Road; and, (3) the County has worked with the State to preserve the existing trees and vegetation along the greenway.”
